This Cookie Policy explains how The Website Makers Inc. uses cookies on thewebsitemakers.ca and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and scripts that read browser information, work in a similar way. They can be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by another service used on our website).
Our approach
We keep tracking to a minimum. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies on this website. We only use technologies that are needed to run, secure and display the website properly.
What we use
- Essential website cookies. Our website software and its caching may set technical cookies needed for pages to load correctly and quickly, and to keep logged-in administrators signed in. These do not track you.
- Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It may read browser and device information and set cookies or similar data needed to run the check. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Fonts (Google Fonts). Our fonts load from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser information to deliver them. Google Fonts does not set cookies for this. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Currency display. The website checks the country of your IP address to show prices in US or Canadian dollars. This does not use a tracking cookie.
Because these technologies are strictly necessary to provide the website and protect our forms, they do not require consent under Canadian law. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where required.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you browse privately. If you block essential cookies, parts of the website, such as our forms, may not work. Learn more from your browser’s help pages, for example Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Changes
We may update this policy as our website changes. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
